Informal ASB tools

Informal ASB Tools & Powers

The majority of ASB cases can be resolved quickly by using informal tools. This half-day online course is aimed at those who manage Community Safety & ASB cases It will provide learners with knowledge of how to resolve ASB by using a “step by step” process starting with informal non-legislative techniques . It covers the range of informal tools, such as mediation, restorative practice, ABC’s, parenting agreements, community agreements, partnership working  and how they can be used appropriately and successfully. Case studies, practical examples and templates will be used to embed the training.

Who should attend?

Housing officers, ASB / Community safety officers, Tenancy Enforcement officers, ASB team Leaders, Police officers


  • Understand & use appropriately, informal resolution tools for anti social behaviour cases
  • Access effective options when dealing with intractable cases of antisocial behaviour.

  • The range of informal options available to resolve cases of antisocial behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with partners
