Running civil cases alongside criminal cases (Parallel Proceedings)

 The ability to effectively work in partnership with police colleagues when taking criminal action is essential to help support partners, victims and witnesses in resolving most ASB & Community Safety cases. This online half day course will equip learners with informative information of when criminal proceedings occur, what can be done civilly and under what circumstances.

Who should attend?

Housing officers, ASB / Community safety officers, Tenancy Enforcement officers, ASB team Leaders, Police officers


  • Understand how we can assist police colleague when they are taking criminal action
  • Understand how to help victims and witnesses who are assisting with criminal proceedings
  • What action can be taking against a individual and tenancy following charges and convictions

  • What criminal proceedings are
  • What legislation can housing providers use following criminal activity
  • What action can be taken whilst criminal proceedings are ongoing
