Resolve celebrates 30 years of sector impact - now let’s shape the next chapter

14 October 2025

2025 marks 30 years of Resolve, a milestone that reflects not only organisational growth, but the evolution of anti-social behaviour (ASB) response across the UK. Founded in 1995, Resolve has grown from a small collective into the UK’s leading voice on ASB and community safety, focused on championing best practice, driving policy reform, and supporting over 200 member organisations with training, research and advocacy.

Over three decades, Resolve has played a pivotal role in professionalising the sector. This includes launching the ASB and Community Safety Officer Apprenticeship, delivering toolkits and CPD pathways, developing training services for frontline practitioners, and advocating for guaranteed victim support and national reform.

Practitioners across the UK continue to shape the future of ASB response, supported by the work of Resolve. Resolve is focused on providing members with sector specific tools for problem-solving, safeguarding and leading change.

As we mark this anniversary, our focus is firmly on the future. Resolve is continuing to develop new training opportunities to provide key support for ASB professionals, strengthening partnerships across housing, enforcement and local government, and driving policy reform grounded in frontline experience. We remain committed to ensuring every practitioner has the tools to protect communities and support victims.

The National ASB Conference in February 2026 will be a key part of our 30-year celebration, bringing together sector leaders, practitioners and changemakers to shape what comes next. This is also the perfect opportunity for our members and partners to reflect on their own milestones and help to influence sector voice through Resolve's position as the UK's leading community safety partner.

Rebecca Bryant, CEO of Resolve, reflects on the organisation’s journey, noting, “Thirty years ago, the ASB landscape was very different and was generally more reactive. Today, our practitioners are safeguarding lives, shaping policy and leading community resilience from the front line. Resolve has been proud to walk alongside them with a key role in advocating, equipping, and celebrating their impact every step of the way. This anniversary isn't just about where we've come from as it's about what we build next and the continuing evolution of a collaborative approach to make communities safer.”
