DIY Injunctions

The course will enable learners to identify appropriate cases, understand requirements &
thresholds and how best to prepare cases. It will also enable learners to
understand the court process, the roles involved and be confident in
presenting cases.

Who should attend?
Housing officers, ASB / Community Safety officers, ASB team Leaders, Police Officers.


Course objectives:
Successful completion of this course will allow delegates to:
▪ Identify appropriate cases for injunction applications
▪ Consultation requirements
• Put together a case bundle
• Understand the court forms and fees
• Prepare witnesses and partner agencies
• Prepare for court – and how to present cases
• Understand the rights of audience
• Explore the role of the claimant, defendant, witnesses, the judge, the
clerk, and the solicitor/barrister
• Understand what to do after the hearing
